The Big Picture - The creation is an expression of the sovereign, eternal God who demonstrated His unsurpassed glory and power by redeeming and preserving His work through Christ.

Transliterate - The process of spelling a word from one language with the letters of another. In English biblical translations, some Hebrew and Greek words are not translated but spelled (as closely as possible) with the English alphabet. This by itself tells us nothing of the meaning of the word.

Gap Theory - Daniel prophesied 70 weeks (a figure for 490 years) until Messiah came into His kingdom. According to many futurists, they clicked off like clockwork through Week 69. Then fulfillment stopped and we are still "in the gap" waiting for the 70th week. There is absolutely no biblical support for this position. It only demonstrates how many are willing to compromise the word of God to cling to their tradition.

Translational Bias - Whether deliberate or accidental, translators sometimes allow their bias to influence how they interpret a word or phrase. For example, in Matthew 24:14 Christ says, ""And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come." The English word "end" is their translation of the Greek telos. Translators know that the word is not used in reference to termination, but rather fulfillment or consummation. They also believe that the world will end. Their bias causes them to mislead the reader by using a word that has the same meaning (if taken in the right sense), knowing that the reader is likely to interpret in a completely different way. Shame on them!
