Prophet Watch
The failed prophecies of contemporary "prophets" would have been enough to keep Old Covenant believers busy gathering stones. So, we've decided to start keeping a record of their antics so our visitors can see their error exposed. We don't spend a lot of time watching the TBN crowd but on any given night you are likely to hear some of the most bizarre speculations imaginable. If you happen to catch one of these guys making predictions about the rapture, tribulation, etc., please feel free to forward us the details. Here's a couple to get the ball rolling. March 20, 2003 John Hagee told Benny Hinn on the air that the rapture would occur within the next six months. Hinn questioned him about it being that close, and Hagee replied, "It's that close." (He's got two days and then it's time to rock him to sleep). September 15, 2003 Paul Crouch declared that "there are people living today who will never die." He noted that some of the people who were alive in 1948 when Israel returned to the land would live to see the return of Christ to earth. This author was born in 1947 and is soon to be 56 years old. It may not be tomorrow, but history will prove Crouch to be the false prophet he is. (His darling wife Jan once remarked that she didn't see how anyone whose heart was not moved to contribute to their ministry could be a Christian - given their gross error, how can Christians continue to support them?).
